Thunder's Build
The Thunder packs dual 2700W brushless DC motors (motor axle bearing, motor wires, battery connectors) dual 60V 40A square wave controllers, and 60V 35 Ah LG Li-ion battery.
It has an aviation aluminum alloy frame and polypropylene covers (stem with cutout), weighs 95 lbs, and has upright dimensions of 48.8" x 24" x 52" (folded dimensions of 48.8" x 12.2" x 21.4'').
The Thunder has dual Nutt hydraulic brakes (rubber guard for rear brake) with 160 mm discs, dual 11 x 4 in tubeless street tires (nylon) inflated to ~50 psi, and adjustable front and rear rubber suspension (rubber spacer for suspension, suspension casing). The suspension is called "45-step variable" because you can adjust the strength of the suspension by the motor shaft distance (3 steps), arm angle (3 steps) and use cartridges of different hardness (5 steps).
The deck has grip tape strips running the length, and measures 24.25" x 12.2" with 7.75" of ground clearance (deck frame, deck left cover, deck right cover, wire cover, front skid plate, rear skid plate, neck cover). It has an IP54 water resistance rating, so riding in light rain is okay (but generally not recommended).
The Thunder has 3 charging ports: 2 GX16 3P ports (1.7A standard charging adaptor, 60V charger, 6.5A quick charging adaptor, charging port covers) and an auxiliary 1 GX16 4P port. It takes ~20 hours with 1 standard charger, ~10 hours with 2 standard chargers, ~5.3 hours with 1 quick charger, and ~4.2 hours with 1 standard charger and 1 quick charger.
It's a foldable design with collar-style folding mechanism (folding clip) and spring-loaded folding handlebars (handlebars, handlebar spring, handlebar base, suitable for riders up to 265 lbs. The square ring on the scooter's handlebars can be clipped to the deck for easier carrying when folded.
There are front and rear fenders, LED lights in the stem, front deck lights, rear deck lights, and hazard lights, and under-deck road effects lights, and it comes with a remote control.
Other key features include: EYE finger throttle and LCD display, rubber hand grips (silicone brake lever sleeves), hazard/motor mode buttons, and kickstand.
Thunder's Performance
The Dualtron Thunder is a dual motor electric scooter with 2700W motors, dual 60V square wave controllers, and a 60V 35 Ah LG lithium-ion battery. These specs are based on a 150-lb rider.

Using Your Thunder Basics
Here's an unboxing video that shows you what comes with the scooter and how to assemble it.
The stem and handlebars come installed, but need to be unfolded when taken out of the box.
Using the included multitool and screw set, you'll install the stem folding clasp and wheel bolt covers.
On the underside near the front left corner of the deck you'll find the main power switch, and near the rear is the LED lamp button. To power on the scooter, you'll need to turn on the main power before the EYE LCD display.
EYE finger throttle and LCD display
The Thunder comes standard with a Minimotors EYE finger throttle and LCD display. On the console, there is a Power button, a Multifunction button (❍), a Mode button, an index finger throttle, and a backlit 1-color LCD display.
From the home screen, the Multifunction button allows you to toggle through speed steps (1: low, 3: high), which are shown on the right of the screen.
Tap the Mode button to cycle through scooter voltage, current trip time, current trip mileage, odometer, and lifetime recharging at the bottom of the display.
Also shown on the display are speedometer and battery charge.
Dualtron Thunder P-settings
High performance electric scooters like the Thunder have P-settings or performance-related settings that you can customize to your preferences.
Here's a table showing the P-settings, their functions, and default values.
If "(Fixed)" is noted, that function should not be altered as it could affect the scooter's performance.
- P0 - Tire diameter - 11 (Fixed) - 11 inch tires
- P1 - Motor voltage - 60 (Fixed) - 60V battery
- P2 - Motor poles - 15 (Fixed)
- P3 - Speed signal - 0 (Fixed)
- P4 - Speedometer units - 0 (km/h), 1 (mph)
- P5 - Start method - 0 (zero start), 1 (kick start)
- P6 - Cruise control - 0 (off), 1 (on)
- P7 - Acceleration - 0 to 5 (0: powerful start, 5: slow)
- P8 - Max output - 5 to 100% (5: low output, 100: max output)
- P9 - Battery saver - 1 to 3 (1: max saving, 2: mid saving, 3: no saving)
- PA - Electronic brake strength - 0 to 5 (0: off, 5: strong)
- Pb - LCD brightness - 0 to 5 (0: off, 5: brightest)
- PC - Auto-off timer - 0 to 30 (0: off, 30: 30 min)
- Pd - ABS (anti-lock brakes) setting - 0 (off), 1 (on)
Minimally, you may want to customize the speedometer units, start method, and cruise control before your first ride.
If cruise control is enabled, you can activate it by holding the same speed for 3-5 seconds, and the scooter will hold that speed steady. To exit cruise control, tap the throttle or brake levers.
How to adjust the P-settings
Access your scooter's P-settings through the EYE LCD display. To enter the P-settings menu:
- Power on the scooter and display.
- Long-press the Mode button and the P-setting interface will open.
- Use the Mode button to toggle through and select the setting you want to adjust.
- Use the Multifunction button to adjust the value of the setting.
- To save your selection, allow the LCD display to timeout (~3 seconds) or long-press the Mode button to exit.

How to troubleshoot EYE error messages
Sometimes you'll discover your scooter is experiencing an issue because an error message will display on the LCD. It's important not to ride your scooter if you have not resolved the issue.
Error icons indicate which problem your scooter is experiencing and are labeled below. When 1, 3, 7, 8, and 9 are displayed, these icons reflect normal scooter functions.
Here's what the icons indicate:
- 1 - Cruise control
- 2 - System error
- 3 - Brake lever operation
- 4 - Motor error
- 5 - Accelerator error
- 6 - Controller error
- 7 - Battery charge
- 8 - Revolutions per minute (RPM)
- 9 - N/A
